Since their introduction over ten years ago, wireless networks have revolutionised the way we work and play. Their simplicity and flexibility have made them both ideal for home environments and small offices where expensive cabling is not an option. However, their speed and performance has always been inferior to their wired Ethernet counterparts.

The new wireless IEEE802.11n standard will dramatically improve both the performance and range of wireless networks. The standard is still under development and expected to be ratified in early 2009.
